Words written by my good friend Tyler Young. Amazing words, wish I knew what they meant, but they feel really good to sing, feels right. I wanted to write a song with a really long chord progression that had no changes. I worked on it for years I think. I remember being in Eagle Point Oregon at my sister Emilys house for a holiday and playing it in the living room when it was finally coming together. I had no words in mind but just started singing Tylers words. I didn't think I wanted any changes, but it happened. The first time I shared it at a rehearsal with Thom White (drums) Randy Sanson (guitar) Joshua Marks (Bass) with the band Ploughman Randy added the intuitive F# G change where I added the lyric (Machine, Not Enough). Ive recorded it a few times and probably will again. What an experience to have this song in my life.
